The KPN Telecom PSTN Freephone Connect Service is a service that connects the Telco end users to toll-free KPN service numbers. KPN ensures that calls made by a Telco end user to a KPN 0800 number (toll-free numbers) are put through. These calls are free for the end user and are paid for by the information service provider. The latter is responsible for the content of the 0800 number and for dealing with the calls. KPN Telecom pays the network fee for these calls to the Telco of the calling end user. The service is only available in the Top 4 Access Areas, that is Amsterdam, Groningen, Rotterdam and Utrecht.
